Privacy Policy

Effective July 2026

Valyou, LLC ("Valyou," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Valyou mobile application and website at morevalyou.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our Service.

By using Valyou, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Age Requirement

Valyou is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and delete their data.

Certain features, including sports betting research, are restricted to users in jurisdictions where such content is legally permitted. We use your location to enforce these restrictions.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Information you provide directly:

  • Name, email address, and phone number when you create an account
  • Date of birth (optional, used to personalize your experience)
  • Location (city and state) for personalized recommendations
  • Preferences you set during onboarding and in your profile (favorite teams, stocks, dietary preferences, lifestyle interests, and sports betting research preferences — whether betting content is enabled and your preferred sportsbook)
  • Payment information when you purchase a subscription or add-on — processed securely by Stripe; Valyou does not store your full payment details
  • A payment card you may choose to save so Val can place grocery and other orders on your behalf — the card number is stored encrypted, the security code (CVC) is never stored, and the card is used only to place the orders you request
  • Health and fitness data, if you choose to connect a health source — see "Health & Fitness Data" below
  • Bank account information, if you choose to connect a bank — account names and balances, and your transaction history for the accounts you select. You enter your bank credentials on Plaid's screens, not ours; see "Bank connections" under Sharing Your Information

Information generated through your use of the Service:

  • Conversations with Val, our AI concierge
  • Bookings, reservations, and appointments made through Val
  • Receipts you upload for reward verification
  • Businesses you interact with, save, or visit
  • Your real-time and historical location when you use location-based features

Information collected automatically:

  • Device type, operating system, and app version
  • Usage data including features accessed and actions taken
  • IP address and general location derived from it

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and deliver the Valyou Service, including Val's AI concierge features
  • Personalize your experience based on your stated preferences and behavior
  • Make bookings, reservations, and appointments on your behalf
  • Process payments for subscriptions and add-ons
  • Verify receipts and award rewards for qualifying purchases
  • Send you push notifications, reminders, and updates relevant to your activity
  • Generate personalized health and wellness insights from health data you choose to connect (see "Health & Fitness Data" below)
  • Enforce age restrictions and geographic content restrictions
  • Improve and develop the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us deliver the Service. These include payment processors (Stripe), bank account connectivity (Plaid), AI and voice services (Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, VAPI), messaging and SMS delivery (Twilio), browser automation services (Steel), sports data providers (SportsGameOdds), market data providers (Financial Modeling Prep), news data providers (Mediastack), delivery dispatch services (Nash), website analytics (Google Analytics), and advertising measurement (Meta) — both covered in "Cookies & Analytics" below. These providers are contractually required to use your data only for the purpose of providing services to Valyou and may not use it for any other purpose.

How each AI provider is used. All AI processing happens on Valyou’s servers; the apps contain no AI provider credentials. Anthropic powers Val, our AI concierge, along with receipt scanning, transaction categorisation and money insights. Googlereceives the photos, video and vehicle details you submit with a repair request, in order to produce a preliminary estimate — your name, phone number, email and address are not sent. OpenAI transcribes voice notes you record for Val. VAPI provides the automated voice agent that telephones a venue to place a booking on your behalf, and receives your name, phone number and email so it can identify the booking. Payment card details are never sent to any AI provider.

Bank connections (opt-in only): If you choose to connect a bank account, we use Plaid to establish and maintain that connection. You enter your bank credentials on Plaid’s own screens — Valyou never sees or stores them. Plaid provides us with your account details, balances and transaction history for the accounts you select, and processes that information in accordance with Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy. Connections are read-only: Valyou cannot move money or initiate payments. You can disconnect a bank at any time in the app, which revokes our access with Plaid and deletes the account and transaction data we hold for it.

Participating businesses (opt-in only): If you choose to opt in during onboarding or in your profile settings, businesses you interact with through Valyou may receive your contact information (name, email, and/or phone number) to follow up with you regarding your visit, booking, or experience. This sharing occurs only for businesses at Valyou's Enterprise subscription tier. You may withdraw this opt-in at any time in your profile settings. This is a separate, user-controlled opt-in for business follow-up and is independent of our text-messaging (SMS) program: the mobile phone number and SMS consent you provide for text messaging are never shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Valyou, our users, or the public.

Business transfers: If Valyou is acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Text Messaging (SMS)

If you add a mobile phone number and enable "Receive text messages" in your profile, we send you text messages such as account and security notifications, appointment and booking reminders, concierge notifications from Val, and service-related updates. Enabling text messages is optional and is not required to use the Service; you can turn it off at any time in your profile.

Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and reply HELP for help.

No mobile information — including your phone number or your SMS opt-in/consent — will be shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is shared only with our messaging provider, Twilio, solely to deliver the messages you have requested, and it may not be used by that provider for any other purpose.

6. Health & Fitness Data

If you give the mobile app your explicit permission, it reads health and fitness data from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS, Google Health Connect on Android, and wearables you choose to connect (Whoop and Oura). Connecting a health source is entirely optional and is never required to use the Service. Depending on the permissions you grant, this data may include:

  • Activity — steps, distance, active energy, and workouts
  • Heart rate and vitals — blood oxygen, blood pressure, blood glucose, respiratory rate, and body temperature
  • Sleep
  • Body measurements — such as weight, height, and body fat
  • Hydration and mindfulness

We use this data solely to personalize Val's insights and recommendations for you — for example, factoring your sleep or activity into Val's suggestions. Health data you connect is transmitted to and stored on Valyou's servers, and is processed by Anthropic as an AI sub-processor solely to generate your own insights. It is used for no other purpose.

Your health data is never used for advertising or marketing, is never sold, and is never shared with third parties for their own purposes. Wearables you connect (Whoop, Oura) provide us your data under their own terms; we do not send your Valyou data back to them.

You can disconnect any health source at any time in the app under Profile → Connected Services, which stops further collection from that source. You can also revoke the app's access in Apple Health or Health Connect settings on your device. Deleting your account deletes all of your data, including your health data, as described in "Data Retention" below.

7. Location Data

Valyou uses your location to surface relevant business recommendations, enable check-ins, and enforce geographic content restrictions (such as sports betting research availability). We request location permission when you use location-based features. You may deny location permission at any time in your device settings, though some features will not be available without it. We do not track your location in the background when the app is not in use.

8. Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service to function — such as your login session — cannot be disabled without breaking core features.

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to measure website traffic and understand which pages and features people find useful. It collects:

  • Pages you view on our website and the order you view them in
  • How you arrived at the site (for example, a search engine or a link from another site)
  • Device, browser, and operating system type
  • An approximate location derived from your IP address (city-level, not precise)
  • A randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie so repeat visits can be recognized
  • For signed-in members, a pseudonymous account identifier so we can understand a member's journey across visits

We do not send your name, email address, phone number, payment details, or the contents of your conversations with Val to Google Analytics. The account identifier we send is a random internal ID that Google cannot use to identify you.

You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser settings. Opting out does not affect your ability to use the Service. Google's own handling of this data is described in Google's privacy policy for sites that use its services.

Meta Pixel: We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we use the Meta Pixel to measure whether those ads work — specifically, how many people who click an ad actually reach our site. It records the pages you view on our website, your device and browser type, and an identifier Meta uses to match the visit to an ad you were shown. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, or payment details to Meta.

You can control how Meta uses this data in your Facebook Ad Preferences, and blocking third-party cookies in your browser prevents the Pixel from loading. Neither affects your ability to use the Service.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies to build advertising profiles beyond measuring our own ads, and we do not run third-party ad networks on the Service.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

You can delete your account yourself at any time, from Profile → Delete account on the web or in the Valyou app. When you do:

  • Any bank connections are disconnected immediately and revoked with Plaid. They are not restored if you change your mind — you would reconnect them.
  • Any Valyou subscription is cancelled at the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Your account is held for 15 days so you can restore it if you change your mind, and is then deleted permanently.

After those 15 days your account and the personal information attached to it are deleted and cannot be recovered. A minimal record that a deletion took place, and records we are legally required to keep (such as transaction records for tax and accounting purposes), are retained.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information — or delete your account yourself from Profile → Delete account
  • Withdraw consent for optional data uses (such as the business contact sharing opt-in)
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at partners@morevalyou.com.

11. Children's Privacy

Valyou is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately at partners@morevalyou.com and we will delete it promptly.

12. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe and subject to their security standards. If you save a payment card for Val to place orders, the card number is stored encrypted and the security code (CVC) is never stored. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
