Valyou is a personal concierge service for everyday life, operated by Valyou, LLC in the United States. Members use Valyou to discover local businesses, book appointments, and earn rewards. This page explains the text messages we send, how members consent to receive them, and how to stop them at any time.
Only registered Valyou members who created an account, provided their own mobile number, and gave express consent. We do not text people who have not opted in, we do not use purchased or rented contact lists, and we do not send messages on behalf of any other business.
Consent is always a separate, affirmative action. It is never pre-selected and is never required to create an account or use Valyou.
1. When creating an account — at morevalyou.com/signup, a visitor may enter a mobile number and tick a checkbox that is unchecked by default, shown exactly as below:

2. From account settings — an existing member can turn on Profile → “Receive text messages”, a switch that is off by default and carries the same disclosure. It is available in the Valyou web app and in the Valyou app for iOS and Android.
Resuming after opting out — a member who previously replied STOP can reply START to resume messages. This is not a way to join the program: there is no advertised keyword to text in, and the only ways to opt in are the two above.
Messages follow the member’s own activity. After a member visits a local business Valyou helped them find, we may text a prompt to rate the visit and collect their reward points, or a reminder that the concierge can help plan their next outing. Representative messages:
What we never send by text: the SMS program carries only the visit-rating prompts and concierge reminders shown below. It never includes betting, wagering, odds or sports-wagering content, and never any content relating to sex, hate, alcohol, firearms or tobacco. Valyou’s in-app sports research is informational only, is age-restricted to members 18 and over, and is not delivered over SMS.

No mobile information — including your phone number or your SMS opt-in consent — is shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
